Vicodin on the LoL forums dropped me a line today informing me of a 5v5 LoL tournament he’s hosting, with Riot Point prizes going out to the top 3 (or 4) teams! He has a thread up in the LoL forums right now for everyone to check out (found here). All the rules for his tournament are listed below! We’ll keep you posted with updates if anything changes. I’ll be sure to get in touch with Vicodin before this tournament starts so we can see if he wants to come on the show with us to pimp his tournament a little more!


Sign Ups:

Game Format:

  • Best of 3
  • All matches will be played back to back.
  • Each team will consists of a captain, 4 members, and up to 2 substitutes. So max of 7 members on a roster. A team name will be required. Rosters will be locked one week before the tournament. There WILL be no other substitutions allowed other then the listed subs. If there needs to be a substitution that is not listed please talk with a XoO Official and we will get it straighten out if deemed appropriate.
  • An active player is bound to one team throughout the whole tournament period. Playing for multiple teams in the same tournament will result in disqualification for involved teams.
  • The team captain must remain in every game at all times.

Rules:
General

  • There will be no use of any streaming programs. Only exception will during the finals. (This rule will be edited per request depending on demand).
  • The use of our Ventrilo is highly recommended as you can get in contact with one of the XoO officials after each match. We will provide the ventrilo information the week before.
  • Take a screenshot after every match, you will not be required to send it in unless there is a dispute between the two teams. If no screenshot is provided then both teams will receive a lose.
  • Reporting Matches: Head to this section of the forum http://thegsoa.com/forum/index.php?/forum/8-matches/. There is also more information on reporting matches at the provided link.

Behavior

  • Excessive language and or bad mouthing an opposing team, could result in a ban for the player, or possible team disqualification

Game Settings:

  • Before each match please PM Vicodin or TheBerch that Team A is playing Team B. This will avoid any arguments over which games are going to be officially counted.
  • Global Bans – 1-2-2-1
  • A Global Ban means neither team can select the banned champion. All bans and draft picks will be reset at the beginning of each game.
  • 1-2-2-1 or 1-2-2-2-2-1 simply means that whichever side gets first ban will select one champion to be banned from the match, then the opposing side gets to ban 2 champions, until each side gets 3 bans . You can find more information at the Information linked above. The same goes for draft mode each side will end up with 5 champions (duh).
  • Draft Mode – 1-2-2-2-2-1
  • Picks are NON exclusive.
  • Non Exclusive means either teams can play the same champion. For ex. if team one selects Fiddlestick, the opposing team is also able to play Fiddlesticks.
  • 1st match – Home team gets First Ban and Second Pick.
  • 2nd match – Away team bans first and picks First.
  • 3rd match – Home team gets First Ban and Second Pick.
  • You will be notified whether you are the home team or the away team.

Game Delays or Issues:

  • Failure to show up within the hour of the allocated time will result in immediate withdrawal from the tournament.
  • If a member of a team disconnects upon the champion loading screen, they will have approximately 1:40 seconds to get back in the game. If a the disconnected member has not been able to reconnect within the allotted time, the match will come to a halt and will have to be redone. Please explain the situation to an Official before redoing the match.

Game Rules

  • Back dooring IS allowed.
  • Any use of Exploitations which will give a player/team an unfair advantage will result in a disqualification.

Overall:

  • Rules can be changed at ANY time. Failure to familiarize yourself with the rules could result in a warning or a disqualification from the tournament.
  • A XoO admin has the final say.

  • 4th Place – 5 Dollars of Riot Points x5 (this last prize will depend on the amount of teams we have)
